Join a national organization’s Board as the Social Media Liaison!
Background and Description:
The Intersociety Council for Pathology Information (ICPI) is a non-profit organization, sponsored by five major pathology societies (AAPath, ASCP, ASIP, CAP and USCAP), that exists to create or publicize available information about the field of pathology and laboratory medicine by promoting educational programs, meetings, resources, and awards offered by ICPI’s member organizations and academic partners. The vision of ICPI is to inspire interest across the spectrum of related pathology career opportunities and to provide up-to-date information for the training and development of a diverse professional workforce in an equitable and inclusive manner.
ICPI seeks to appoint a volunteer social media liaison who will advise and assist with implementing a social media strategy as determined by the ICPI Board and Staff. The liaison will be a pathology resident appointed for a 2-year term, starting March 1, 2026. The liaison will be responsible for developing and posting approved content, in cooperation with the Board and approval of the Executive Officer. The liaison will also review ICPI’s social media channels and website, and recommend changes or improvements. The liaison will be invited to join Board meetings occasionally to stay current with the vision and goals of ICPI, and they will meet regularly with the Executive Officer to review and plan posts. The liaison will be recognized as such on the ICPI website. The liaison will serve under the direction of ICPI’s Executive Officer or their designee.
