To apply for award consideration, submit an abstract via the abstract portal by published deadlines and select applicable awards at the time of submission. Submitters may apply for up to two awards.

To assist with selecting award categories with a maximum of two awards per submitter, refer to the information below. Please note that submitters are responsible for fulfilling the requirements of each award selected. ACVP may determine that a submission would be better suited for a different Focused Scientific Session category or award category, based on review. In the event of such a change, submitters will be notified.

Resident awards are open to graduate students, current veterinary clinical pathology and anatomic pathology residents, and residents within six months of separation from a training program in which the abstract represents work conducted during the residency program.

All veterinary student abstracts are considered for the ACVP Veterinary Student Poster Award. Additionally, veterinary students may apply for either the ACVP Pathology of Wildlife and Zoo Animals Award or the STP Veterinary Pathology Resident and Student Poster Award.
