ICPI Trainee Travel Awards
Check out the ICPI Trainee Travel Award pdf to support trainee participation in scientific meetings organized by its sponsoring and associate member societies. A limited number of ICPI Trainee Travel Awards are available in 2013. There are 2 types of Travel Awards:
1) Travel Award: $500.00 for trainees who do not submit an abstract.
2) Travel Award with Abstract: $750.00 for trainees who submit an abstract to the meeting they are attending.
The award is intended to offset the travel costs for attending a meeting of one of ICPI's member societies. Awardees must currently be a trainee (medical student, graduate student, resident, fellow) member of one of the member societies of ICPI.

What is ICPI?
The Intersociety Council for Pathology Information (ICPI) is a nonprofit educational organization sponsored by national pathology societies to serve as a central source of information about pathology in the practice of medicine and in medical research and education. Each year, ICPI publishes the Directory of Pathology Training Programs listing pathology residency and fellowship programs in the United States and Canada. ICPI also publishes the brochure Pathology as a Career in Medicine.

Medical Student Interest Group Matching Grant Program
Medical Student Interest Groups (MSIGs) are a useful mechanism to encourage outstanding medical students to consider a career in pathology. To that end, ICPI launched a program in 2009 to enhance existing MSIGs and to develop new programs. The program is currently in its fourth year. ICPI matches up to $1,000 in funds provided by pathology departments to support MSIG programs. To date, 34 programs have been funded. Participating departments are eligible to apply for future funds on a competitive basis. Applications for the 2014 academic year will be available by July 2013.
